About these terms

These terms apply when you use this website or buy from Castle Hill Decants (“we”, “us”). By placing an order, you agree to them. If you have questions, email contact@joshyreal.com.

Our products

We sell decants: portions of authentic fragrances, transferred by hand from full-size bottles purchased at retail into our own 5ml glass atomizers. Decants are not sold in the original manufacturer’s packaging.

Castle Hill Decants is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any fragrance house whose fragrances we decant. Brand and product names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify the fragrance in each decant.

Scent notes and descriptions are a general guide. Fragrance can smell different on different people, and slight variations in colour between batches are normal.

Orders and availability

Our drops are limited. An order is accepted once payment is confirmed. We may limit quantities (currently 3 per fragrance per order), and we may cancel and fully refund an order if a product is unavailable, if there’s an obvious error in price or description, or if we suspect fraud.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in Canadian dollars for orders shipping to Canada and in US dollars for orders shipping to the United States. Where we’re required to collect sales tax, it will be shown at checkout. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.

One promotion or partner code can be used per order. Codes can’t be combined with each other or with the Castle Hill Reserve member discount, and we may withdraw a code at any time.

Shipping rates, delivery times and customs information are set out in our Shipping & returns policy.

Returns

All sales are final, and decants that have been opened, sprayed or used can’t be returned. If a decant arrives cracked or broken, contact us within 3 days of delivery with photos or a video of the damage taken when you opened the package, and we’ll replace or refund it as described in our Shipping & returns policy. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

Castle Hill Reserve membership

This is a subscription that renews automatically. Castle Hill Reserve costs $29.99 CAD a month for members in Canada and $19.99 USD a month for members in the United States, plus any tax due. We charge your payment method when you join and on the same date every month after that until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe.

What’s included. For each month you’ve paid for, you get one 5ml decant of your choice from the fragrances we have in stock, with shipping included. While your membership is active and you’re signed in, you also get 10% off every order, which can’t be combined with promotion codes, and extras you add to your monthly box ship free. Your vote on upcoming drops counts 3 times.

Choosing your decant. Choose from your account before your renewal date. If you don’t, we’ll choose one for you, one you haven’t received before where we can.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your account, and you won’t be charged again. Your membership and perks continue until the end of the month you’ve paid for. Payments already made aren’t refunded unless the law requires it, and anything you’ve already paid for will still ship.

Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, your perks pause while we try again. If we still can’t take payment, your membership ends.

Changes. If we change the price or what’s included, we’ll email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect, and you can cancel before then.

Use and safety

Our products are fragrances for external use only. They contain alcohol and are flammable: keep them away from heat and open flame and out of reach of children. If you have sensitive skin or allergies, test on a small area first and stop using the product if irritation occurs.

Website content

The text, design, logo and images on this website belong to Castle Hill Decants unless otherwise noted, and may not be copied without our permission.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without limiting any consumer protection rights you have where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time of your order applies to that order.
